About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Candidate Generation team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Amazon's talent acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient software solutions to support our recruiting pipeline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and develop applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members to ensure the success of our engineering initiatives.
  • Lead engineering excellence initiatives to drive best practices and innovation within the organization.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
