About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Candidate Generation team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future growth of Amazon by delivering innovative and scalable technology recruiting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate solutions across multiple pipelines.
  • Lead initiatives to develop applications on AWS cloud infrastructure and establish best practices for software development processes.
  • Design and develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring system health and data pipelines.
  • Mentor junior and new team members, and lead engineering excellence initiatives for the organization.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
