Rodan Energy Solutions is driving the clean energy transition. We seek a seasoned sales professional to drive business growth with large commercial, industrial, and institutional customers in North America's deregulated energy markets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing business relationships with key decision-makers at top-tier clients. As a Business Development Director – C&I, you will lead the development of personalized sales strategies and manage a pipeline to meet corporate business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive non-target business growth with new and existing clients through strategic relationship building and effective account management.
  • Identify target accounts, develop them as prospects, and close them as customers, leveraging support from cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute a personal sales strategy, aligning with corporate objectives and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with solution engineers, finance, and other professionals to deliver valuable business solutions for our customers.
  • Provide input on the development of new solutions and services, ensuring they meet customer needs and market demands.
  • Broaden service offerings through strategic partnerships, increasing sales and revenue.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with senior-level executives and technical experts, fostering trust and understanding.
  • Achieve complex technical solution sales, providing sophisticated solutions to customers in an evolving electricity market.

Requirements:

  • College/university degree.
  • 3–10 years' experience in a hunter sales role, preferably in demand response, distributed energy resource development, or related fields.
  • Strong communication, lead generation, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and curious, with a passion for promoting new energy services to customers.
  • Proficiency with MS 365 Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.), Salesforce, and other related business applications.
  • Travel within North America as required.
