Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units to build walls, chimneys, and fireplaces.
  • Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Lay bricks or other masonry units to provide veneer facing and construct prefabricated masonry units.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Rename, clean or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their appearance and integrity.

Work Setting:

This position requires working in a fast-paced construction environment with exposure to weather conditions, heavy loads, and physical demands. You must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouching, kneeling, and handle heavy materials.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma but 3-5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
