Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a proactive talent acquisition and retention strategy, ensuring the organization has the right people in place to execute its strategic plan.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, selection, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance feedback, professional development, and retention.

In addition to talent management, you will also be responsible for developing comprehensive plans that support the performance evaluation program, creating learning and development programs, and determining employee eligibility and managing enrolment changes, terminations, claims, etc.

You will provide expert advice and guidance on the interpretation and implementation of labour and employment legislation, HR policies, and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders on employee relations and conflict resolution, balancing risk mitigation and employee experience.

This role requires inspirational leadership to create a sense of direction and purpose for leaders and employees. You will need to possess excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage time and priorities, and delegate tasks appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of HR best practices, change management, and a commitment to ongoing professional development within the Human Resources field. Experience working in a Jewish work environment and/or a not-for-profit organization would be considered an asset.

Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years as an HR Generalist and a minimum 3 years at a senior HR management level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of contemporary IT computer networks, network administration, and installation, computer hardware and software systems, web-based programs, and business systems techniques.

A competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, is offered for this role. The hours of work are generally 40 per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
