Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual to join our team at Value Health and Wellness in Scarborough, Toronto. As a Receptionist/Physio Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Patients: Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly attitude, creating a positive atmosphere and making them feel comfortable during their visit.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Manage appointment scheduling software, coordinate and confirm patient appointments, and optimize the chiropractors' schedules.
  • Patient Registration: Collect and update patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information, ensuring all necessary forms are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Handling Inquiries: Address patient inquiries regarding services offered, appointment availability, and general clinic information, providing excellent customer service and ensuring patients' needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Managing Patient Records: Maintain organized and secure patient files, both in physical and digital formats, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with relevant privacy laws.
  • Billing and Payments: Process patient payments, handle insurance-related matters, and provide necessary documentation for reimbursement, working closely with the billing department to resolve any billing or insurance issues.
  • Office Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as managing the waiting area, maintaining office supplies, and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Appointment Reminders: Follow up with patients to remind them of upcoming appointments, helping to minimize no-shows and last-minute cancellations.
  • Collaboration with Clinic Staff: Work closely with chiropractors and other clinic staff to coordinate patient care and support daily clinic operations.
  • Troubleshooting: Address minor technical issues with office equipment and promptly report any significant problems to the appropriate personnel.
