Role Overview

As a Property & Casualty Insurance Advisor with Dan Piedimonte - Desjardins Insurance Agent, your primary focus will be on providing personalized client experiences and focused advice to the personal and commercial market in Pickering and surrounding areas.

You will be responsible for developing leads, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing appropriate products and services. Your goal will be to contribute to the Agency's success and deepen client relationships through effective opportunity spotting, cross-selling, and referring to your team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide existing clients with tailored advice and a strong client experience to retain their business. This may include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, and market appropriate products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Contribute to team sales success through the achievement of individual sales goals and effective opportunity spotting, cross-selling.
  • Work with the agent and team to establish and meet set goals.
  • Expand your professional network to contribute and be visible in the community and capitalize on market opportunities and referrals from centers of influence.
Requirements
  • Sales & Customer service experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) is preferred.
  • A successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and listening - are required.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills are required.
  • Dedicated customer service is essential.
  • Ability to multi-task is required.
  • Ability to make presentations to potential customers is required.
  • A Property & Casualty license is preferred and must be obtainable.
Compensation
  • Base salary + Commission + year-end bonus.
