Architectural Designer

Live Nation Canada, Inc. is a leading live entertainment company that is seeking a highly skilled Architectural Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Design and Architecture team, you will play a critical role in preparing and coordinating conceptual plans, reviewing venue design and construction contract bid documents, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
The Role:Reporting to the VP, Venues and Operations in Canada and Live Nation's Global Director of Architecture & Design, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing concept designs, specifications, and presentations for development projects.
- Coordinating development of project design and documentation with external consultants, managing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing external design and engineering consultants and vendors.
- Preparing and reviewing plans, construction bid documents, and specifications for major and minor capital improvement projects and for alteration and renovation projects.
- Developing project scope, schedule, and cost, and reviewing this with the business unit to ensure the project meets business objectives.
- Monitoring project progress to ensure alignment with set goals and timelines.
- Acting as the liaison between the different stakeholders in the project, ensuring communication at all levels and keeping all parties up to date.
- Reviewing and analyzing construction documents to ensure design and programmatic alignment and identifying potential constructability or coordination risks during preconstruction phase.
- Working with the Project Manager to monitor construction progress through on-site inspection and review.
- Creating furniture plans, selecting furnishings, preparing budgets, and coordinating orders for projects.
- Overseeing the delivery of furniture and finality of the project.
- Working with the Art and Branding teams on the development and implementation of venue art programs.
You will work closely with a team comprised of cross-functional stakeholders from Live Nation, including Project Development, Design & Architecture, Fan/Artist Services, F&B, Sponsorship, and Premium Sales. You will also work with general contractors and external consultant teams.
What This Person Will Bring:To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Architecture; 5+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Licensure is preferred.
- Experience with all phases of project development from conceptual design through construction administration.
- A strong understanding of building codes and systems.
- Experience working on venue-related build-outs, expansions, and/or improvements preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools.
- Knowledge of current building codes, building systems, and specifications.
- Ability to design and plan major construction projects.
- Ability to travel to project sites and meetings, including Canada and the US.
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup/Enscape, and Bluebeam.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:Stationary position for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; movement throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; ability to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; move up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
