We are currently seeking a skilled Bid Management Specialist who possesses extensive knowledge of excitation systems and backend operations to bolster our sales initiatives across Canada and the USA. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and is integral to the Technical Sales Team.
The role entails supervising a dedicated team, which includes a Technical Specialist/Subject Matter Expert and a Commercial Contract Specialist. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the thorough validation of terms and conditions across commercial, technical, legal, and pricing aspects of each proposal.
- Supporting bid/no bid evaluations and strategic decisions.
- Participating in project risk assessment processes.
- Providing essential technical support and clarifications to the Sales teams during technical discussions, product demonstrations, and customer negotiations.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Proven experience in leading operational teams and managing intricate projects with a strong emphasis on customer service is essential.
Proficiency in data analytics tools, the Microsoft Office Suite, and robust problem-solving skills are required. Familiarity with contract negotiations involving customers and suppliers is also necessary.
