Senior Compliance Analyst

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, External Compliance Monitoring – ISO Rules to join our team at the Alberta Electric System Operator. As a senior member, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the compliance of market participants with ISO rules and certain Ancillary Service commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze compliance of market participants with ISO rules and Ancillary Service commitments.
- Develop and refine Compliance Monitoring Programs, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Lead specific projects and stand in for team leadership in internal or external discussions as required.
- Develop and foster positive working relationships with market participants, AESO teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Represent Compliance Monitoring in internal or external discussions and participate in ISO rule and policy development.
Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in the electrical industry.
- Demonstrated extensive working knowledge of ISO rules and governing legislation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to review and draft written correspondence.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of complex data.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or Python is considered an asset.
