Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Supervisor to join our team at Canadian Tire - Cambridge 75 Dundas (Store #036). As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of sales associates in delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of store presentation.

About the Role
  • You will be accountable for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the sales floor, including visual merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling.
  • Assist the Department Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet business objectives and drive sales growth.
  • Responsible for providing coaching, training, and feedback to sales associates to improve their performance and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration among sales associates.
  2. Conduct regular meetings with sales associates to discuss sales performance, provide feedback, and set goals for improvement.
  3. Manage and maintain accurate records of sales data, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
  4. Communicate effectively with customers, sales associates, and other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and products.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in retail sales, execution, and operations.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and/or managerial experience or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
