Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to our steps of service. You will answer questions, make recommendations, and prepare cold and hot beverages to our high standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to our steps of service
  • Answer questions and make recommendations on food, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services
  • Prepare cold and hot beverages to our standards
  • Ensure accuracy when entering information into our POS system
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Ensure guests are satisfied with their food and service
  • Respond promptly and courteously to any guest request or concern
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the grab and go area and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing grab and go products
  • Be aware of any special requests, including guest allergies
  • Complete opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and safely
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems

Qualifications

  • Prior barista experience is desirable
  • High School Diploma
  • High attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Passionate about customer service
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills and sales ability
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to engage our guests
  • Experience in a similar environment is an asset
  • ProServe certification is an asset
