About the Role

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Plasma Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic Plasma Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to all program activities and ensuring compliance with regulations, standards, and good manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct registration and confidential screening to determine donor eligibility and provide a positive donor experience.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to donor centre staff, acting as team lead for collection events as needed.
  • Assist in the collection of plasma, which saves lives daily, in a diverse team environment.
  • Set up booths, tables, and equipment for donor clinics at mobile events within our communities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program and current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the province.
  • 2 years of experience working as a nurse, with certification in First Aid and CPR, is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience as a preceptor or with coaching others is an asset.
  • Technical skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • A second language is considered an asset to support a positive donor experience.
