About the Role

The construction assistant will play a key role in supporting our team of tradespersons and professionals in completing projects on time and to a high standard.

You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks such as:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Directing traffic at or near construction sites

In addition to these tasks, the construction assistant will also be responsible for:

  • Helping tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset
  • A willingness to relocate
  • Relocation costs covered by the employer
