Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Materials Handler to join our team at Site Construction & Renovations. As a key member of our site crew, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, as well as performing routine maintenance work and cleaning up chemical spills.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position working 32-44 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • You will work under pressure and handle heavy loads, making physical demands a requirement of the job.
  • The ideal candidate will have no degree, certificate, or diploma but will undergo on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, and other heavy items.
  2. Measuring weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
  3. Performing pre-operational inspections on equipment.
  4. Cleaning and lubricating cranes and other heavy machinery.
  5. Erecting and dismantling scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades, and other site structures.
  6. Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  7. Assisting in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
  8. Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  9. Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  10. Leveling earth to fine grade specifications.
  11. Assisting in demolishing buildings.
  12. Cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
  13. Performing routine maintenance work and cleaning up chemical spills.
  14. Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
  15. Directing traffic at or near construction sites.
