Job Title: Audio Director

Ubisoft is seeking an experienced Audio Director to join our team in Montreal. As an Audio Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the audio content and its integration as a gameplay element.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish Audio Vision: Develop and document the technical and artistic audio charter based on the creative direction, including reference films, games by competitors, and design documents.
  2. Communicate Audio Vision: Share the audio vision with the team and provide necessary visual and audio documents and references.
  3. Audio Production Oversight: Supervise audio production and ensure it aligns with the game vision.
  4. Technical Audio Needs: Identify technical audio needs for the project and communicate them to the technical architect and Dare team.
  5. Musical Direction: Set out the musical direction and the process to select composers, in collaboration with the creative director and sound studio.
  6. Audio Element Integration: Design and implement audio element integration processes, working closely with programmers and technical directors to ensure proper integration.
  7. Project Resource Management: Determine project resource needs and set out the budget for the audio group with the producer/associate producer.
  8. Team Supervision: Supervise the work of the audio team from the artistic and technical perspectives, providing individual feedback and/or organizing group audio reviews.
  9. Team Development: Coach team members to foster their artistic and technical development, ensuring they progress in their careers.
  10. Audio Community: Communicate and share knowledge and experiences with other directors to ensure the effectiveness of the audio community and its evolution within the group.
  11. Audio Recording Sessions: Coordinate specific audio recording sessions to meet project needs, in collaboration with the sound studio.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Degree in music or audio or professional training in audio.
  2. Experience: Delivery of over three AAA games as part of a production team.
  3. Skills: Extensive knowledge of DAW tools, musical knowledge as a musician and/or composer, solid knowledge of studio audio equipment, and research process.
