Key Responsibilities

This senior management position involves overseeing full-cycle accounting, financial statement preparation, and analysis. The ideal candidate will lead a team of finance professionals in managing general ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reporting.

Mentorship and Team Leadership

The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring direct reports, providing timely feedback, and setting goals and expectations. They will foster strong relationships with their team and promote a culture of collaboration and open communication.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

As a key member of the finance team, this individual will drive the month-end close cycle, ensuring the completion of internal consolidated financial statements and subsidiary reports. They will also manage monthly balance sheet reporting and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Compliance and Risk Management

The Finance Director will develop and maintain risk KPIs, staying up-to-date on new accounting standards and regulations. They will ensure the company remains compliant and adapt processes as necessary to maintain strong internal controls.

Communication and Collaboration

Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential for this role. The candidate will work closely with external auditors, provide IFRS interpretations, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless quarterly reviews and annual financial audits.

About You

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a post-secondary education in finance or a related field, along with a CPA/CA designation. A minimum of 7 years of progressive financial reporting leadership experience in a high-growth public company with international operations is required.
