Job Summary

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure working environment at our facilities in London. This position requires strong time management skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the development of security protocols and procedures to ensure a high level of security within the facility.
  2. Monitor all security-related activities, including monitoring alarms and responding to emergencies.
  3. Document and report all abnormalities in a timely manner, and support with the investigation process.
  4. Assist with projects and assignments as required, such as onboarding new hires and temporary employees.
  5. Ensure that all staff, contractors, and visitors adhere to our security processes and procedures.
  6. Detect and respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergency procedures.
  7. Prepare reports, checklists, and maintain logs to track security activities and incidents.
Requirements
  • Experience in a security-related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Health Canada's cannabis regulations.
  • Security cleared personnel will be a requirement.
  • Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
  • Secondary diploma is a basic education requirement.
  • Physically fit; standing and/or sitting will be required for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This role comes with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
