At UNIFOR CONSTRUCTION INC., we are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a carpenter. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tenders and quotations, building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems. Additionally, they will fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments.
The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade, with a strong understanding of building codes and regulations. They will be proficient in operating CADD and other computer software systems, and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
We offer a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week, and a competitive salary and benefits package. If you are a skilled tradesperson looking for a challenging and rewarding role, please submit your application.
