We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Lifemark. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their overall health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and clinical reasoning.
- Provide education and training to clients on topics such as pacing, pain management, and cognitive behavioral strategies to enhance their functional abilities.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in case conferences and case management to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Support clients in their return to work programs and provide guidance on task modification strategies.
- Utilize electronic charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (member in good standing).
- 1-3 years of experience in occupational therapy, with a focus on treating clients with physical, mental health, and/or neurological conditions.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in occupational rehabilitation and supporting clients with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is an asset.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
