Kitchen Helper Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at 2600247 Ontario Limited. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used.
  • Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Take customers' orders and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
Work Environment:

As a Kitchen Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads, overtime required, and physically demanding tasks. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.

Requirements:
  • Will train.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English language.
