Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our team at Sunrise Poultry Processors Ltd., one of the largest individual chicken processing plants in Western Canada. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a factory environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
- Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment in all areas of the plant, including live end production.
- Install and fabricate equipment to meet daily production targets and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform electrical, welding, and plumbing tasks as required.
- Conduct boiler checks and perform machine upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- 5th class power engineering ticket for boiler operations is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in the food industry being an asset.
