Role: Maintenance Mechanic/MillwrightWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to join our team at Sunrise Poultry Processors Ltd., one of the largest individual chicken processing plants in Western Canada. The successful candidate will have prior experience in a factory environment and possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot issues with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Maintain equipment in all areas of the plant, including live end production
- Install, fabricate, and weld equipment as needed
- Perform electrical and boiler checks
- Upgrade plumbing and machines to meet daily production targets and ensure a safe work environment
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- 5th class power engineering ticket for boiler operations (asset)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with food industry experience an asset
