Job Title: General Duty Technologist

Job Summary:

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated General Duty Technologist to join our team. As a General Duty Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and technical support functions in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned duties in accordance with scope of training and experience, and established protocols.
  • Provide direct patient/resident care and technical, administrative, and operational support functions.
  • Maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by CAMRT - OR.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS.
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory or Radiology Assistant Program.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
  • Must maintain current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Windows computer environment required.
  • Microsoft Office programs preferred.
  • Follow oral and written instructions precisely with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships in a multi-disciplinary team environment and with external agencies, groups, and the public.
  • Proficient analytical skills.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Maintains confidentiality with all information entrusted to the position.
  • Fluent language skills (written and oral) in both French and English may be required.
