Practice Management Specialist

Job Summary
VCA Canada is seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead our team at Beardall Animal Hospital in Kingston, ON. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and develop the veterinary, technical, and administrative staff to achieve quality patient care and excellent client service.
- Oversee the hiring, reviewing, disciplining, and terminating of professional staff, with approval from the Regional Management team.
- Manage the hospital's financial performance, including P&L management and monthly reviews with the Hospital Medical Director and Regional Management team.
- Represent the hospital and VCA Canada in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience supervising up to 30 staff members in multi-faceted roles, with the ability to delegate, motivate, and coordinate.
- Previous customer service and financial budget management experience.
- Administrative skills, including scheduling staff, document control, filing, and various reporting and coordinating office services.
- Leadership skills, including fostering people relationships, providing coaching opportunities, and promoting quality patient care and excellent client service.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a respectful team-building atmosphere and provide compassionate and professional relations with pet owners and the community.
