We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. As a key member of our Risk Management Department, you will play a critical role in contributing to the sustainable growth of our organization through your expertise in risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Analysis and Reporting
- Produce and/or contribute to key senior management reports and to regulators.
- Analyze and monitor the quality of the portfolio by using key credit and counterparty credit risk metrics, including stress test, replacement risk, and debtor risk.
- Communicate on the evolution of the risk profile of the portfolio, identifying drivers of risk and emerging risks, as well as assessing the cost of risk requirements.
- Perform or actively contribute to ad hoc portfolio analysis by using appropriate risk metrics focused on a specific activity sector or risk factor driven by the economic and geo-political environment.
- Develop data-oriented analysis and reports, improving credit risk management effectiveness.
- Perform and implement necessary controls to enhance the quality of portfolio analysis, including but not limited to the quarterly Legal Lending Limit control, the monthly Concordance Table Control, the Rating Validation control, etc.
- Work with the Data Management Office in assessing the data quality of credit risk data and contribute to the process of addressing various data quality issues.
- Actively participate in the implementation of new regulatory rules.
- Coordination of Key Credit Risk Committees and Interactions
- Main coordinator for Credit Risk on any Regulatory reviews and requests.
- Main coordinator for Credit Risk on Internal and External Audit reviews and requests.
- As secretary of several feeder committees to the Credit Risk Committee, prepare and coordinate materials and contributions to the committees, in charge of the presentation of the committee to key stakeholders, including senior management.
- As secretary of one or several Credit Risk related committees, manage contributions to the SGUS Credit Risk Committee (CRC) and to the SGUS Enterprise Risk Committee (ERC). Responsibilities include (i) proposing annual risk appetite for credit risk; (ii) monitor risk appetite compliance on a regular basis; (iii) Risk Assessment Dashboard reporting; and (iv) challenging breaches/exceptions to policies, procedures which are reported by the First Line of Defense.
- Credit Risk Governance and Digitalization
- Contribute to the Watch List quarterly process, manage the Watch List entries and exits; perform the annually Credit Trigger Back Testing exercise.
- Contribute to the provisioning workflow, in close cooperation with the Asset Restructuring & Recovery Management team and Head Office; coordinate and prepare provisioning information package and various reports and ensure the proper provisions are certified and booked, and maintain Asset Recovery database.
- Promote cooperation across Support Functions and Business Lines, both (i) between Credit Risk and other divisions of RISQ (including Enterprise Risk Management; Market Risks; Operational Risks...) and (ii) between Credit Risk and LOD1 (Global Banking and Advisory; Global Business Service Unit), and foster alignment with Credit Risk at the Head Office.
- Ensure accuracy and up-to-date Credit Risk policies and procedures.
- Enhance Credit Risk processes through automation and gain efficiencies with the use of the latest available technologies and collaborative tools, including but not limited to Python coding, PowerBi proficiency, etc.
- Project Management and Contributions
- Lead, conduct or participate in defined projects or transversal initiatives locally and globally, either as a Subject Matter Expert for Credit Risk, or as a Project Manager.
- Contribute to the enhancement of Credit Risk applications, systems, and databases.
- Implement change management within Credit Risk driven by strategic and/or organizational projects for better integration of the department within the local and global Risk framework.
- Must Have
- Good knowledge and understanding of credit portfolio analysis and credit and counterparty credit risk metrics.
- Knowledge of risk regulatory requirements and concepts.
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Finance, Statistics, or in a similar quantitative discipline.
- Proficient in SQL script and Python coding languages, as well as strong knowledge in PowerBi data visualization tool.
- Nice to Have
- Knowledge of credit risk analysis and methodologies is a plus.
- Credit Risk assessment a plus.
- Involvement in Project Management coordinating tight deadlines with several stakeholders is a plus.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
