Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to managers and staff in the Finance and Administration area of the Inuvik Regional Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to managers and staff, ensuring the effective functioning of the administration offices.
  • Manage highly confidential and sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, using ARCS and ORCS systems, and ensure compliance with NTHSSA By-laws, Policies and Procedures, and GNWT Legislation.
  • Coordinate appointments, reschedule as needed, and maintain accurate tracking and recording of financial information.
  • Interact with clients, staff, and managers, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Network resources within and outside the employing Health and Social Services Authority to ensure support for clients and their families.
Requirements
  • Equivalent of a two-year Business Administration program or three years of administration/accounting related experience.
  • Proficiency in a variety of programs and systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, data collection, email, and telecommunications.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and with composure and tact.
  • Sensitivity and respect for all cultures and traditions, with knowledge of the culture and traditions of the northern and Indigenous people.
What We Offer

The salary for this position starts at $34.20 per hour (approximately $66,690 per annum) plus an annual Northern Allowance.
