Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical therapy services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide speech language therapy services to patients, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Supervise and mentor students and staff in the provision of speech language therapy services.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of speech language pathology and incorporate this knowledge into clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM).
  • Membership in professional organizations such as Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) or the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Experience with computer-based treatment programs.
  • Experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury.
