About the Role

At Clay Space Inc., we are seeking a skilled Ceramics Artisan and Studio Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ceramics classes, designing and creating ornamental and functional earthenware pieces, and managing day-to-day business operations. Additionally, they will supervise apprentices or other artisans and handle tasks such as gathering materials, preparing lessons, and organizing the studio.

Work Setting

This role requires working in a private studio environment, with occasional lifting of up to 23 kg (50 lbs). The work schedule is 40 hours per week.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ceramics instruction or related field
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
