About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Manager to join our team at Circle K / Esso. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of 5-10 sales staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Merchandise and Services: Determine the types of merchandise and services to be sold, ensuring they meet customer needs and drive sales.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
  • Financial Management: Plan and manage budgets, monitor revenues and expenses, and make informed decisions to optimize sales performance.
  • Recruitment and Training: Recruit, hire, and train sales staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role.
  • Operational Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily sales operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail sales or management role.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in point of sale systems, electronic mail, and spreadsheet software.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
