Key Responsibilities:
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively manage and assign tasks to sales staff to ensure that all areas of the store are covered and that customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train new staff members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and meet sales targets.
- Authorize Payments and Returns: Authorize payments by cheque and returns of merchandise, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide exceptional customer service and sell merchandise to customers, ensuring that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare Sales Reports: Prepare and analyze sales reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to management to optimize sales performance.
- Resolve Customer Issues: Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all customers receive a positive experience.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that all stock is accurately counted and that stock levels are maintained at optimal levels.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail sales environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
