Job Summary

The Mechanic II is a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment and machinery. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery, including inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of worn parts.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in heavy equipment repair or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other maintenance team members and stakeholders.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent exposure to heavy equipment and machinery, as well as regular lifting, bending, and standing. The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines is essential.

Safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, and face shields must be worn to eliminate the risks associated with these hazards. Travel is not required for this position.

Physical Demands

The ability to stand for up to 12 hours a day, lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally, and perform other physical tasks as required is essential for this role.

Visual acuity needed for close detail work, and mental dexterity needed as Mechanic II will work independently while demonstrating attention to detail and continuous awareness.
