The Mechanic II plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining heavy machinery, ensuring compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quality control analysis to evaluate equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance manager and production employees to ensure seamless operations.
- High School diploma or GED certification required.
- 5 years of experience assisting skilled trades persons in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive an automobile.
This position requires regular exposure to all weather conditions and physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt. Safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, and face shields must be worn to eliminate risks associated with these hazards.
Physical DemandsThe Mechanic II must be able to stand for up to 12 hours a day, lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally, and perform other physical tasks as required.
