Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and programs to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs to ensure they are within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and carpentry trades.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of government legislation related to WSIB, Health and Safety, Building Trades, and Fire regulations.
  • Computer experience in word processing, spreadsheet programs, and Windows required.
