What is the Opportunity?

As a Royal Bank of Canada Financial Advisor, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients by providing proactive, professional advice and collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and navigate key life events. You will leverage your expertise across everyday banking, investments, and credit to deliver a robust Advice Experience that meets the complex needs of personal and business clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate empathy and kindness in all interactions with colleagues and clients, taking the time to understand their circumstances, motivators, and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, and proactively resolve client concerns at the first point of contact.
  • Utilize your own advice capabilities and those of the right partner in the RBC ecosystem to meet clients' entire suite of financial needs, both personal and business.
  • Provide professional advice and education, addressing complex credit and investments, and ensuring solutions recommended are appropriate for clients' needs and financial circumstances.
  • Champion digital enablement by proactively educating clients to self-serve, leading with advice, and serving through digital channels where possible.
  • Make effective use of technology to connect with clients both virtually and face-to-face.
  • Implement effective contact and relationship-building strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention in the local community.
  • Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to ensure clients receive customized and relevant expert advice.

Requirements

  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Quebec – Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute.
  • 1-2 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Digital literacy across a broad range of devices.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve clients with English and French-speaking needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Second language skill.
  • Active in developing a solid network in the local community.
