About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Companion Care Specialist at Hesed Healthcare & General Services Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support to patients in their daily lives, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed.
  • Engage patients in activities that promote mental and physical stimulation, such as reading, puzzles, and exercise.
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages as required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work, as required.
  • Ability to relocate for this position, if necessary.
  • Current legal ability to work in Canada.
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
  • Previous experience in a related field, an asset.
