Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Taco Time. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Estimate and Manage Inventory

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet customer demand.

Ensure Quality and Safety

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintain a clean and safe working environment for all staff and customers.

Manage Budget and Records

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods and that staff are able to take breaks and time off as needed.

Requirements
  • Supervision Experience

3-4 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the food service industry.

Education and Training

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and completion of any relevant training or certification programs.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Physical Demands

Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and safety.

Personal Qualities

Client focus, flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role, with a focus on restaurant management and customer service.
