Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Supply Management: Order dental and office supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory to ensure seamless operations.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, adhering to strict sterilization protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Administrative Support: Perform reception and clerical duties, including scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, empowering them to take control of their dental health.
  • Imaging and Record-Keeping: Take and develop X-rays, recording dental procedures performed on patients and maintaining accurate records.
  • Financial Transactions: Invoice patients for dental services, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Accessibility Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Newcomer Support: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Youth Development: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, fostering growth and development.
  • Veteran Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

Work Details: 35 hours per week, English language, permanent position.
