Job Summary

The Workforce Optimization Coordinator is a key role within Calgary Co-op, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our workforce scheduling systems. This position plays a critical part in maintaining and improving our current positioning across all lines of business and wholly owned subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain Workforce scheduling and associated systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on workforce scheduling, forecasting, and productivity tools.
  • Communicate analytical reports to the business as directed.
  • Coordinate changes and maintain Workforce Scheduler, Forecaster, and reporting tools.
  • Develop and present training materials to users.
  • Communicate system functionality updates to centres.
  • Coordinate scheduling and staff role changes while maintaining Workforce Scheduler for store staff.
  • Coordinate and maintain Workforce Timekeeper systems with Payroll and IT teams.
  • Track and analyze weekly performance reports.
  • Assist store management with system performance issues and facilitate communication with Payroll and IT teams.
  • Provide input to system improvement and assist in new program development and initiatives.
  • Develop a solid working relationship with store management operation teams, end users, and suppliers to ensure system compliance, improve performance, service level, and flow of information.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the business.
  • Participate in the development and action of yearly competency performance work plan and development action plan.
Requirements
  • Three years retail supervisory experience or related Workforce experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven experience with Microsoft office suite applications.
  • Experience analyzing data with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and establish good rapport with all levels.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver assigned projects.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of and proficiency with scheduling programs (such as UKG Workforce Pro Management Software) and the ability to utilize them to achieve productivity and payroll objectives.
  • Previous project management experience.
  • Presentation experience to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience working and understanding Collective Agreement articles and business requirements.
  • Workforce configuration experience and an understanding of labour standards.
