About the Job


The Industrial Engineer - Supply Chain Supply position plays a critical role in analyzing, measuring, reporting on, and improving all aspects of the supply chain process. This role is essential to the overall success of materiel management for the Cormorant Program and involves daily interactions with internal and external customers.



Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory control reorder point levels within the MRP system based on historical data and production planning activity.
  • Maintain minimal material/asset shortages to ensure production schedules are not negatively impacted.
  • Minimize financial impacts of inventory/asset holdings.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with other departments to enhance cross-functional communication, decision-making, and daily management of processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain operations and program health.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain/improve communication, decision-making, and process management.
  • Conduct operational analyses and projects as recommended or required.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in an analytically focused discipline such as Industrial Engineering or Operations.
  • Strong analytical skills applicable to supply chain measurement and business process improvement.
  • Two to five years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Strong business process improvement and change management skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of financial impacts of supply chain management/business decisions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database skills, or report writing.
  • High-level proficiency using Excel, PowerPivot, and Business Intelligence software.
  • Knowledge of MRP and Inventory Control practices.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP Systems preferred.
