Key Responsibilities:

As a Registered Practical Nurse on our mental health care team, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to individuals with serious disruptions in mental health. This includes:

  • Providing nursing care to individuals with serious disruptions in mental health.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Solving problems that occur in day-to-day practice using critical thinking skills.
  • Contribute to a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Registration.
  • An RPN Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years current experience in mental health related nursing.
  • Successful completion of the CMH Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Training within 3 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Mental Health Reporting System (OMHRS) and Meditech system modules is an asset.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $36.426 - $37.049 per hour, plus benefits including Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), Group Benefits, Employee & Family Assistance Program, Career Development & Education Grant, Wellness & Wellbeing Program, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives.
