Job Title: Factory Maintenance Worker

Toute Sweet Cakes and Pastries is seeking a reliable and skilled Factory Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our factory by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Housekeeping: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Health and Safety: Perform safety and security checks, and ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Factory or plant.
  • Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, repetitive tasks, and physically demanding work.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, and reliability.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The language of work is English.
