Pomerleau is seeking a Health and Safety System Specialist, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement to join our team. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will be responsible for developing and improving our company's health and safety management system. You will work closely with our operational teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain health and safety programs and policies in collaboration with regional HSE and operations teams.
- Ensure regulatory monitoring and good practices in occupational health and safety.
- Participate in the implementation of new OHS initiatives.
- Evaluate the organization's needs in terms of OHS systems and databases.
- Audit sites and issue recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop specific documents in support of the SST team.
- Support field teams in investigating high-potential accidents and proposing corrective measures.
- Participate in the implementation of the ISO 45001 standard.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in health and safety or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 7 years of experience in a prevention role in the construction or industrial sector.
- Functional bilingualism (optional).
- Valid driver's license.
- ASP Construction Card.
- Agent Card for Construction Sites (asset).
