About the Role:

The Health and Safety Specialist will play a key role in developing, implementing, and enhancing the SSENSE Health & Safety program. This involves collaborating with teams across Fulfillment Centers, Retail, Studio, Headquarters, as well as vendors and contractors, to analyze needs, assess risks, and create tools and resources that promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work together to improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems to meet business needs.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, follow up, and suggest ways to prevent them in the future.
  • Create and update procedures and instructions, track their implementation, and propose improvements like training, Safety Committees, and audits.
  • Identify and report compliance issues, safety risks, and opportunities for improvement by conducting regular audits and preparing reports using health and safety data.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure compliance with Workmen's Compensation Board regulations and requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in EHS roles supporting large teams.
  • Strong understanding of Quebec laws and regulations about workplace accidents and illnesses.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 15kg.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both spoken and written.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, nights, and overtime.
