We are seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students and passengers.

Job Overview

In this challenging and rewarding position, you will oversee all routes and scheduling of buses, provide exceptional customer service, and collaborate with drivers and monitors to ensure seamless operations. If you have experience working in terminal operations, dispatch, or driver roles, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage bus schedules to ensure on-time performance and efficient route planning
  • Provide guidance and coaching to drivers and monitors on front-line operations
  • Handle heavy phone and radio traffic, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Counsel and support drivers and monitors on scheduling and operational matters
  • Serve as primary communication liaison with major contracted customers, providing excellent customer service and support
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in terminal operations, dispatch, or driver roles
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in related field an asset
  • Basic knowledge of radio dispatch equipment and software
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
