Senior Engineer/Analyst-Retube Tooling Design
AtkinsRéalis is a leading provider of nuclear engineering services, with a rich history of delivering complex projects to the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/Analyst-Retube Tooling Design to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the conceptual and detailed design, manufacturing, testing, delivery, and execution support of tooling systems for our Pickering Retube, Feeders, and Boiler Replacement project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Assignments have clear and specified objectives requiring investigation of a limited number of variables.
- Assignments normally include system and equipment design and development, design modification, investigation of design difficulties, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, cost estimating, and preparation of reports, review of vendor's documentation, investigation of manufacturing and installation difficulties.
- May be assigned project engineering responsibilities on a technical or commercial endeavor of moderate scope.
- Participates in the preparation and/or review of commercial and internal proposals.
- Work is limited in scope and generally related to one field or discipline of engineering, although a knowledge of related fields of engineering and an appreciation of the impact of the work on other areas may be required.
- Completed work is generally accepted as technically accurate and in compliance with policies and procedures and is reviewed for soundness of judgment and feasibility.
- Work objectives are specific, and supervision is usually general; the details of the work are not normally closely supervised but this may vary with the assignment.
- Mentors staff to maintain and improve performance and capabilities, including technical guidance to junior staff assigned on common or other projects.
- Normally required to plan, schedule, and manage own time, including considering the plans of others.
- Ensures all project training and qualifications records are up-to-date, and required training and qualifications are completed or updated on time.
- May be required to lead a team of staff for delivery of assigned scope.
- Reviews technical documents prepared by the designated reporting staff, as applicable.
- Plans and executes work consistent with quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
- Ensures that work is conducted in accordance with applicable Engineering and Quality Assurance procedures.
- Required to interface with clients for successful delivery of engineering products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements, as applicable.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) with 10+ years of practical experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario or Eligible.
- Experience of leading a technical team would be an asset.
- Experienced working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada would be an asset.
- Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
- Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated.
- Demonstrated ability to support complex and parallel technical projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Willing to travel to and potentially work at Project site in Pickering Ontario and vendor facilities to meet project needs on short and/or long-term assignments on an Adhoc basis.
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills.
