Segula Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Method and Tooling Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing specialized tools and equipment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze technical specifications and scope of work to design and develop specialized tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with project teams to plan and coordinate tooling design phases.
- Participate in design reviews and ensure that designs are consistent with site installation methods.
- Optimize tooling and machine design to improve and reduce site installation time.
- Prepare technical drawings and documents, including test procedures and engineering notes.
- Provide technical support to the supply chain and participate in technical support of site teams.
- Validate the cost of procedures and tooling during the tender phase.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Safety Standards for Material Handling and Lifting Equipment (OSHA) B30.20 Below the hook.
- Knowledge of welding and machining would be an asset.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Authorization to work in the US without restriction or Canadian TN-1 Visa.
- Ready to travel time to time in North America (5%).
- Experience in hydroelectricity field highly recommended.
- Passion for mechanical design and the field of hydropower.
- Knowledge of calculation methods related to material resistance, finite element simulation, metallurgy and welding are assets for this work.
- Design 3D drawing (NX) and SmartSheet/Excel intermediate knowledge.
