Clinical Care Leader

The Client Care Coordinator is a key member of our interprofessional team, providing clinical leadership and support to staff, patients, and families. This role requires a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse with experience in a supervisory capacity and a strong understanding of community resources.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to staff, including supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
- Coordinate client care activities, including scheduling, prioritizing, and adjusting work activities as needed.
- Monitor staff workload, patient factors, and adjust client assignments accordingly.
- Establish priorities for client care, patient flow, and daily operations of the designated unit.
- Monitor the quality of client care and ensure maintenance of standards for nursing practice and support staff.
- Evaluate performance issues based on professional standards of practice and provide input to the Manager on formal performance reviews.
- Support implementation of education based on changing practices, such as legislation and technology.
- Provide input into budgets, minor and capital equipment, and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Identify individual or group learning priorities to meet identified program, organizational, and learner needs.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical area, including one year in a supervisory role.
- Completion of a substance use certificate program as required.
- Skills and abilities include clinical proficiency, knowledge of community resources, ability to supervise and provide leadership, and ability to coordinate client assignments.
