Position Overview

As a Community Care Assistant , you will play a vital role in enabling individuals within your community to maintain their independence and safety in their own homes. This position involves providing essential support with daily living activities and personal care tasks. You will benefit from comprehensive training, including a three-week in-class program that equips you with the necessary skills to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits to provide care and support to clients
  • Prepare and assist with meal service
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene needs, including bathing and grooming
  • Support clients in their daily living activities

Qualifications:

  • Strong compassion and active listening abilities
  • A genuine desire to positively impact the lives of others
  • Willingness to travel to clients' homes within a designated area
  • Availability to work every other weekend
  • Experience with seniors or children is advantageous
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Background check upon hiring
  • Previous experience in personal care is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
