Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Sustainability Specialist, you will be responsible for applying and promoting our health and safety policies, coordinating and completing assigned activities related to environmental projects, and remaining current with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety policies;
- Coordinate and complete assigned activities related to the implementation and management of environmental projects, including phased environmental site assessments, site remediation, and hazardous materials assessments;
- Remain current with local, provincial, and federal regulations for the assessment and management of contaminated sites;
- Apply knowledge of engineering principles to complete complex and difficult projects;
- Prepare field notes and analyze and evaluate data;
- Write technical reports and proposals;
- Collaborate with other environmental professionals and technical staff;
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
Your Profile:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Earth Sciences, or an environmental-related field;
- Minimum 5 years of relevant environmental assessment/field experience;
- Member of Professional Engineer and Geoscientists (asset but not mandatory);
- Working knowledge of both provincial and federal environmental regulations;
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills;
- Strong report writing skills (asset);
- Experience in supervising contractors on the worksite;
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to complete work within established timeframes;
- Focused on delivering high-quality services to clients;
- Valid driver's license;
- Willingsness and ability to travel throughout Atlantic provinces on an occasional basis;
- Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
